Early Concepts

Test Footage

Created in 2016 this early teaser trailer sets the mood of the film and gives an idea of early styles and looks for the film. The feature has since developed from this to a larger cast and stronger story.

Storyboards

Created by Adam Sanders Storyboard Artist for ‘Canary’. Adam is working alongside our Editor (Chris Taylor) to develop the images further for the previz. These are still in the development stage and will need to complete all 19 scenes and match the ‘shot list’. We are intending to recruit another artist to make the process quicker. Once the images are as detailed as possible we will add further information including camera and lighting directors, characters required, time of day.

We also hope to use these as postcards to sell in a crowdfunding campaign which will market the film and gain some finance.

Location Concept Design

Created by Victoria Charles Production Designer for ‘Canary’. The locations have been created from locations descriptions in the screenplay and drawing inspiration on UK locations including Bemish Museum (Durham) and the National Mining Museum (Yorkshire). By using actual locations, we can give our images a more realistic look, this is very important as a period drama. These are being developed further to use as set designs so will need to include lighting and camera directions.
