Synopsis: Joseph Cole and Ernest Mills share a peaceful life working in a small English mining village. Joe works tirelessly to care for Ernie whose mental state has never aged past that of a 12-year-old. When Margaret Thatcher announces changes to close the mines, Joe must choose between helping the community and Ernie’s welfare while Ernie battles to understand the changes surrounding him. One things for sure, their lives will never be the same.
